Our Blog

LinkedIn – Tuesday 25th August 2020:

– RPA costs too much!
– There is not a clear ROI
– Our organisation has decision paralysis
– There is a lack of understanding in our organisation

These were the most commonly identified barriers by the participants of our webinar a few weeks ago.  Tomorrow we are running a FREE session “Learn how to kickstart automation” where we will tell you how to overcome these barriers and indeed kickstart automation in your organisation.

LinkedIn – Thursday 20th August 2020:

Learn how to kick start automation!

A key insight from our last webinar, highlighted common issues when implementing RPA. Therefore our next webinar focuses on how to overcome some of these issues.

Join us for our free webinar on Thursday 27th August (8.30am – 9:30am), where we will discuss:
🔹 How to pinpoint suitable processes for RPA
🔹 Overcoming common barriers to implementation
🔹 Real life case studies in NZ
🔹 A simple step by step process to achieve success

This webinar will be presented by:
🔸 Taino Bendz, Lead RPA Consultant, Probotics
🔸 Barry Carruth, Managing Director, Probotics

LinkedIn – Thursday 13th August 2020:

96 people signed up for our recent automation webinar as part of Techweek 2020.

Here are some highlights if you missed it!

• RPA is well used in NZ, with many of the larger companies having RPA as part of their digital transformation strategy.
• The ROI is often high and it’s quick to implement, with development only taking a few weeks!
• Scaling automation initiatives is a common issue, and therefore needs to be a holistic approach.
• In terms of the future of RPA, we expect the following:
– Further introduction of RPA for manual processing tasks
– An increased use of “human in the loop” where we use automation software together with a person as a support tool
– Integration with artificial intelligence.

Through questionnaire, we had quite a bit of feedback relating to barriers to implementation and how RPA can be taken beyond a proof of concept phase.

Therefore we are running another seminar the Thursday 27th of August on “How to get started and scaling RPA”.

3. What has been the biggest surprise during the first week?
I’m not sure about biggest surprise but I’m impressed by the UiPath software, it seems very mature and strong.

4. What is your favourite code language?
Favourite language is a tossup between C# and typescript, but I think i’ll go for C#.

5. What is a skill that no one at Probotics yet knows you possess?
Climbing and wind-surfing!

“What is our mission? Where do we need to position ourselves for the future? Which traits of a high performing team are we showing and how can we improve?

These questions, and many more, were the focus of a team session last week for Probotics.  As the organisation grows and we are bringing on more staff, it’s vital to ensure that everyone is paddling the boat in the same direction.  It’s also just as important to take time out to celebrate our recent successes and achievements, which we did by handing out plaques for the “bots” delivered during the first half of 2020!  So what is Probotics mission?  To drive change and improve productivity by delivering tailored digital solutions!

With online orders through the roof, one of our clients are experiencing a 10x increase in the number of returns, compared to the Xmas peak! So how is your business coping?

Many businesses are doing their absolute best to manage a dramatic increase in online trading. This substantial increase in orders is sending shock waves throughout the entire process, including supply chain, processing of online sales, invoicing and order fulfillment. It is also amplifying the need to streamline processes such as the return of goods.

If this sounds all too familiar, perhaps it’s time to look at automation. Automation not only makes impossible things possible, it also saves you time and money, and relieves staff from repetitive and tedious tasks, leading to increased efficiency and improved employee engagement!

Probotics are a proud partner of UiPath since 2017.

Need to improve cash flow? Let our robot do the chasing 🤖

It’s not as action packed as it sounds, but our latest RPA solution – “bot”, can monitor overdue invoices and send emails direct to debtors. If the invoice remains unpaid, it reminds them again after another 30 days with a warning of credit stop, and after yet another 2 weeks with a notice of credit stop. process used to be performed full time by an employee, but due to the high volume, the invoices were not always followed up in a timely manner. The first email reminder, in most cases, is enough to prompt payment, therefore if you are always sending these reminders on time, it instantly increases your cash flow.

This solution above, was developed fully remotely in just 2 weeks, freeing up 40 hours of manual time, and produces the ultimate goal of increasing cash flow.

We are rapidly developing solutions to help you during these times, to ensure you can maximise cash flow via a number of ways including debt management, customer retention and speed of billing.
